Administrative Officer

This position provides personal advisory services to the Superintendent and Division Chiefs and directs program managers, technicians and clerical support positions in delivering services to management, and employees located at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, in Mountainair, NM. As a member of the parks' management team, you will plan, analyze, and monitor the formulation and development of park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals. You will be responsible for keeping the park's revenues, and spending in balance through advising, and supervising the staff of the Administrative division. You will direct the budget and financial management staff in establishing account structures, tracking expenditures and obligations. You will serve as the primary liaison with the regional human resource office and ensuring that the Superintendent and Park Supervisors receive sound advice and guidance on position management. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-09/27/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
providing advisory services to Superintendents and Division Chiefs,analyzing and monitoring the formulation and development of park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field of study that is directly related to the work of the position, which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to do the work of this position. Directly related graduate study may include, but is not limited to business administration, accounting, governmental budgeting, and/or public administration. (Three years of graduate education is 54 semester hours or 81 quarter hours). You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. For example, I have six months of the specialized experience described above (50% of the experience requirement), and 45 semester hours or 68 quarter hours of directly related graduate level education in an accredited educational institution (50% of the qualifying education). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
