PMS - Socorro Community Health Center is a PCMH-Patient-Centered Medical Home.
The Socorro Community Health Center is staffed by MD/FNPs, a Family Medicine PA-C, and additionally supports a school-based health clinic.
Located in Western New Mexico, Socorro is home to the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology a famous and internationally known University.
Socorro is 75 miles south of Albuquerque and houses the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, a spot of world renown for bird watching.
Hiking, camping, skiing and National Parks close by.

POSITION
Summary:
This is a professional position involving provision of direct patient care.
Although most activities are performed independently, clinical oversight is provided by Physicians, Site Medical Director and/or Vice President of Clinical Affairs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment:
New Mexico Board of Nursing license with certification as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Clinical Nurse Specialist / Family Practice or Certification from the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners.
DEA license New Mexico Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) Medicare PIN and UPIN numbers Medicaid Number Have or be able to obtain BLS/CPR or ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
If you are assigned to a center with ACLS medications and/or equipment, you must have ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Certification must meet the requirements listed in the document BLS / CPR / ACLS & First Aid Training Resources posted on Staurolite.
It is your responsibility to keep your certification current at all times.
